Carey was a fashion model. She is 5'10" tall, and was sought-after by the top American fashion designers like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and others. In 1979, the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists elected the father of her Scientist of the Year. Carey was educated all over the planet due to her father's work. Following her graduation from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she began to do modeling as a side. This caught the eye of an agent from Ford Model Agency New York. Following her move to France in the summer of 1999, where she resided at Paris, Bordeaux and New York, she decided to return in New York and continue her training. In the next few months, Vogue, Glamour and various other magazines were featured on their cover. When she was modeling as she studied in full-time a major in literature within New York University. When she began studying acting at Neighborhood Playhouse, New York, her enthusiasm for acting increased. The year 1986 was the year she had her first role in acting as a small part in Club Paradise, with Robin Williams. Skiing, white water rafting as well as rock climbing are some of her preferred pursuits.
