Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is a famous American actress and producer known for the roles she performed in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is a writer as well as an actress in theater, film and television. She began her career as an actor in theater later on, she went on to make appearances in numerous TV programs, as well as independent and mainstream films. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on the epic BET series The Book of Negroes. In both roles, she received critical acclaim and numerous nominations and accolades, among them an award from the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. The actress made her professional debut as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. The stage credits she has received include the Broadway production of Joe Turner's Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis.
